It is found in Cambodia, China, Christmas Island, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Yemen. Its natural habitats are boreal forests and temperate forests.
